BT have always let me cancel on moving. utilities do too, even if you've had fixed tariffs etc.

I have no advice though - I assume they won't let people transfer remaining term to next occupant?

feels massively like unjust enrichment if new occupant goes in and takes out a virgin package as they will have suffered no/limited financial loss.

probably the basis of a class action in there somewhere for anyone who could be bothered to organise one.
