I find this Martin thing bizarre...

...I love the guy, and make no qualms about it. Seriously though, why the hatred for him? I'm not fussed, just interested.

He keeps himself to himself, apart from when promoting a cd or the Fair Trade movement, seems perfectly polite and affable and stays out of trouble - yet some people can't stick him.

But Liam Gallagher, who is basically a beer swilling lout (a talented one, mind), and Doherty, who is a crackhead, are worshipped.
