Long ball - confidence issue?

I agree - a long ball to McVeigh is hopeless - he is 5 foot 6. And we can't expect him to do anything in those situations. But listening to Worthington in his post match interviews - he isn't telling the players to play the long ball. They do it as they're under pressure and panicing.

There's a lot wrong at the moment. Knee jerk reactions after Hull won't help though - Worthington won't be sacked after this game, so the crowd knocking the players will just further erode their confidence.

I have said elsewhere on this board, that this team lacks leaders. A player who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and make a difference by himself - lifting the crowd - and then the rest of the team.
