D'you know, I have no idea
Top bloke, WW, but too easily forgotten.
Anyway.........seeing as you're here........
I never got round to fixing my ftp settings so I never uploaded that mp3 i mentioned to you about 400 years ago, dunno if you recall.
What it was:
I don't know if your mind is like mine in that things pop into it unbidden? Well i was listening to a home-made CD in the car one day and this version of Grapevine came on. I'd taped it off a streaming radio broadcast, and had been surprised to hear that it was by The Raincoats, because I'd thought I pretty much knew the Raincoats' catalogue throughout(ish).
Into my bonce came a memory of something you posted on here waaaaay back, when naming the best evr whatever-was-under-discussion, where you nominated *The Slits'* version of Grapevine. I'm wondering if the radio DJ has incorrectly accredited the band? It'd be a fairly excusable error.
The easist way of identifying it is to say that she trills the higher notes ("some other GUYYYYYYYY (trilled) you knew before" etc).
What you tink?
