Ian Russell Secretary of Capital Canaries can you explain longevity
I really don't buy into this smokescreen that 'longevity' of a manager is the key to long term success but it gets trotted out as an obvious reason why a club should stick with a failing manager. Why is this the key? Do you mean to say that if we'd stuck with Bryan Hamilton we would've had success under his leadership by now? And how do you explain how, by sacking Ray Lewington and replacing him with Boothroyd, Watford have suddenely had success. It's a nonsense argument and it just doesn't stand up to scrutiny. The best managers remain in their job the longest because they are just that, the best managers. They don't fail how Worthington has over the past 12 months and suddenely bounce back. Granted they can have a blip but what we are watching is NOT a blip. It is a side totally devoid of tactical nous and organisation and that comes from the top. Delude yourselves as long as you like but it is inevitable there will have to be a change of manager.
