If the media really wanted to know what
a "broad spectrum of fans" think, why don't they do a vox pop outside the ground at CR before the next home game. Have a reporter there at about 7.15 and make them go outside each stand and ask 25 random people "worthy in or out".
Fair, balanced and a cross section of views from a sample of 100 people who go to games.
Impossible to rig like internet polls and a sample big enough to be fairly representative.
Will they do it? No, far, far too sensible and might give them the wrong result from their point of view.
