Is there any point in trying to put a rational argument

on the Waghorn thing?

He clearly just dismisses everyone who posts on here as a "poisonous" internet nerd posting malicious rumours for their own amusement.

The fact that his articles have had no balance and accepted that many arguments on here are valid criticism does him no credit a as journalist (and I say that as a journalist).

And the fact that he appears to be placing the blame for all the club's ills on an internet message board is bizarre in the extreme.

It really does appear that the criticism of him on here has got to him and it's unprofessional to carry that over into his writing.

He makes the point that how long would Worthy's successor get before being ripped to shreds on here. Probably about as long as Worthy got before being ripped to shreds on here - 5 years?

There will always be criticism after a bad performance or result (which, incidentally, should be Rick's job) but I don't remember people calling for Worthy's head in the season we finished 8th. He has been given time, more money than any previous NCFC manager, and his time is up.

We are not so stupid as to not realise that any future manager would have to be given time to gel the squad that Worthy has ripped apart and rebuilt, to rebuild confidence and to get the team playing in his own style (not the Worthy hoof preferrably).

To think that we are just a bunhc of morons with no idea about football (granted some are) is narrow minded and a bit of a shock to come from someone as intelligent as Waghorn (and he is).

My plea to people on here would be to not insult Rick personally (it gives him evidence to think we're all brain dead idiots) but to put forward rational arguments.

For what it's worth I think his reporting of the club this season has been very average compared to his efforts in the past.
