Russel Martin...the bare truth

Russel Martin just isn't good enough at this level either as leader or a player. Nice guy yes, without doubt but his defending is woeful, always 5 yards behind the player he is supposed to be marking.Just take a look on slo mo at their first goal, his positional awareness is terrible. The gap is always because he is standing in no mans land, marking nobody yet pointing to everyone else. He just HAS TO GO

People get blinded by the 'nice guy' but folks he is just isn't good enough.
