I can see that.

But, against all the evidence, I was still hopeful that when it was really going to the wall, our players would find a way to make it happen. And the similarity for me is that after a pretty s**t season it only required one big result to blow the whole thing wide open and really put us back in the frame.

Or you could have a total horror show, and f**k the whole thing up. That's the other option.
