It's that fear which makes it so great, though
Rationally, the current scum team isn't a patch on ours. Put the two squads together, pick an XI, how many Ispwich players would be in there? The only one who'd get close, for me, is a loanee who's also injured just now. They're physical, hoofing lumockses; despite our faults and flaws, which are legion, we do at least attempt to play football once in a while.
But there's always that fear that, even though if those squads played ten games we'd win maybe eight or nine, this might be their turn, especially as it hasn't been for so long.
Without that fear, the victory wouldn't be half as sweet. And the loss would be just horrible, of course; and one day they will beat us again. I don't think it's Sunday, though.
