Murdoch is the world's ultimate evil.

For years now he has advocated right wing neo conservative, low tax, low wage, labour rights free policies in every country where he owns media. Which is, you know, most places. This is dressed up in "stop the nanny state" and "all this pointless red tape needs cutting" kind of language. It's also presented along side anti immigrant anti overseas aid kind of propaganda, to appeal to the evolutionary "fear of strangers" thing that's inside all of us.

Why?

Because states that adopt his policies are absolutely ripe for him to then maximise ownership and profitability of his business empire, so he can own more, make money, have more political influence and generally "be The Man".

It is the ultimate irony that working class people willingly lap up the s**te his media vehicles pump out, as if it's in some way supporting their interests. It isn't. His vision is a low tax low rights haven without welfare state provision, with diabolical health services, with crap education. Unless you're rich enough to pay. What he wants and strives for is directly against the interest of all but a few. And yet he is the one railing against "the elite".

Turkeys, apparently, do vote for Christmas.

Right, I'll shut up now. I'm old enough to know that nothing is ever going to change.
