Just been to buy Fatherland by Robert Harris and SS-GB by Len Deighton.

For no reason, absolutely no reason at all, both were in the prime "Notice Me" position on the shelves with their cover showing, instead of the spine, and when I got to the counter, the lady said "There's a theme there," "Yeah, it's the zeitgeist, innit?" I replied. Then she gestures at a stack of copies of Sinclair Lewis' It Can't Happen Here which they had on the counter and says "Have you heard of this, it's been selling well recently too, I CAN'T THINK WHY," so I bought one of them too.
