It seems pretty obvious that

We either sell Brady in which case we must sign a left winger or we keep him in which case we don't need to sign one.

The scenario that would be disappointing is selling him and not signing a (decent not some kid on loan) left winger to replace him. Surely even Neil is not stupid enough to sanction that?
