My guess is that selling Brady plugs the hole in income versus cost. Plus shifting his wages (guess he was one of the biggest earners?) will help prepare us for lower parachute payments next season. So I don't think selling him creates money to spend.
So looks like we'll be reinvesting the money from Olly n this Dutch chap. Guess Olly was on a fair wedge as well, so maybe that's a further net reduction in wages.
