Well I don't agree ( obviously)
Teams come and play our lads from all over. From the first whistle the parents are the ones shouting and complaining about our kids being to competitive. We have had a lad taken to hospital with a broken nose and one lad had a cut from the top of his thigh to his knee.... the lads play football and at the end of the day they want to win. They always go around and shake hands with the opposition regardless of results and injury, coaches alike.
I have played myself for gorleston youth back in the day and right up to reserve level.... there has always been rivalries between gorleston and teams from Suffolk. Every team wants to beat gorleston why?
But having that attitude at u9s or any kids game isn't right. Surely at that age it's about enjoying it.
