At first sight I want to pronounce the surname as if it started with a Welsh LL
but Icelandic is hard for us to get right - for example Eyjafjallajokull is pronounced (something vaguely like) eh-ya-fyutler-yer-kutler.
So maybe you pronounce it "Mary Option". In fact the more I think about it, the more I'm sure that's how his name is said.
