OK, if you can use Garageband then you have DAW experience...

...KDDD off of off of on here gave me loads of really helpful advice when i first started off as I didn't even have Garageband and knew pretty much zero...

I bought the ProTools starter pack to get going and went from there. I now use ProTools 11...
