Very few managers jump before they're pushed. How can the board not be prepared for that?
If a manager quits, he loses his pay-off. So at badly run clubs, you get a game of chicken, and the season - and so much hard work beyond that - goes to s**t as a result.
It is incredible that he is still there. Incredible that the board haven't sacked him yet. On some level, deep down, he must be pissing himself laughing at how incompetent they are.
