The real reason that Alex Neil won't quit is because he wants to be sacked!
I don't profess to know the exact details of his contract but you can bet your boots that the most rewarding scenario for him would be dismissal. To the Board I would say yes, it's a double-edged sword but right now the worst thing that you can do is nothing!
