The model that the club is being run by is a few years out of date. Half the championship clubs are owned by wealthy investors now, far exceeding what we can afford in terms of player purchases, wages, etc. Our model, while dated, can work in the Prem because the money we get there far exceeds what we need. That money isn't available in this league, which is we need other forms of investment so desperately, just to compete more than anything else. Our current model wouldn't be too far out of place in league 1 and further down. Without investment or a substantial change in direction, that's where we will end up again if we're not careful.
