Yes, this year is not like those other years

There were no outstanding teams those seasons and nobody pulled well away from the pack. Was always likely Newcastle would this year - they are an absolute monster at this level and did so comfortably last time - so there would be only one auto spot to aim at. Brighton's remarkable consistency is the fly in the ointment, and has seen two teams breaking away and made it much tougher for everyone else.
