Just back from the game - thoughts
Amazing how victories (and Siunds of the 80s on iPlayer) make the miles rol by easier 😀
So, let's get this out of the way first. The Referee - I know Tim as a fellow Sussex County FA official (and I've officiated with him in the distant past) Suffice to say his refereeing career has gone much further than mine did!
The game wasn't a high quality affair but the best battling City performance I've seen for a long while... could have done with a few like that in the latter part of last year's relegation season!
Mulumbu was immense, his best game in a City shirt.
Lord Nelson worked his socks off all night and deserved his goal. I haven't been convinced but he's looking like an intelligent and hard working striker... him and CamJam together if we ever play 2 up top could be pure chocolate coated sex!
Howson and Pinto - it is no coincidence that us being s**t coincided with both of them being out. Both offer so much but you don't realise it until they're not there.
Jacob looking a little tired, maybe needs a rest.
Seb - if only he could be like that all the time. So frustrating!
Brady - how did he miss that chance?
More of the same Friday please... perhaps an extra goal or two 👍
