Worthy for England manager's job
No, really, I'm serious.
1. He can pick whoever he wants without worrying about transfer activity.
2. Won't put up with any crap from superstars, if they disagree with him he'll drop them like a flash. He'll be the boss and he knows his own mind.
3. He can comfortably deal with a sometimes hostile media. (See 2.)
4. He won't be swayed by fans who aren't aware of the full picture (See 3.)
5. He can generate a good work ethic within a group that often seems to play as a collection of individuals rather than a team.
6. He is well thought of by other Managers and Pundits, having taken a rather unfashionable regional team into the premiership.
7. He will have the respect of the players as he has himself represented his country.
8. They won't have to pay him much.
9. He is a very straight up guy so he won't get involved in any of the shenanigans with ladies as Sven did.
Perhaps we could get a petition underway. Anyone have any contacts in the FA?
