you should have one of those service/insurance plans
like British gas advertise , and i believe other companies offer them , free yearly service and free repairs if needed
just had mine replaced and apparently its got a box on it which sends a signal somewhere if my boiler plays up , the gas engineer knows before me its gone wrong
