Not being run as a professional club
The key thing for me is recruitment. Going into a prem season with 3 centre backs, none of whom were great the last prem season because we didn't have a scouting network was really amateur. Not strengthening the defence was worse this season and running a club with ricky martin who has never worked at a professional club apart from city and neil who hadn't worked outside league 1 standard means that we do not have a perspective above that. Hence we have platers that are not fit enough, not enough quality coaches and a scouting network which would shame northampton town.
I suspect we will now appoint a another up and coming manager - but we are very attractive as a club- surely we can go for someone better or established.

- Lambert's great strength was that he knew so many good players in the lower leagues. (NCFC) - lurd, Nov 27, 09:58:14
