That's exactly why there won't be a change this week
Generally owners much prefer to sack managers just before you have a more winnable game, because the odds are greater that you'll get better result and they'll look clever for making the change.
If you have a game you're unlikely to win you might as well keep the bloke you're going to get rid of since he will be carrying the can anyway.
