Those were the very reasons we picked a whippet, along with the fact we have very young..

.. grandchildren now. Whippets are supposed to be easier to train and keep compared to greyhounds, (But greyhounds are not that difficult to be fair )

The last Fenton I had was a lurcher, which was 16 years old when I had to put him to sleep nearly 2 years ago. A lovely dog but it was virtually untrainable as it seemed to be unable to even get fetch command. Before that I had a Doberman which was even I had trained to even collect the post and bring it to me, so it was one extreme to the other!!
