Oh I dont know

A few years back in a law firm I was working at, morale hit rock bottom (and defections followed) after they banned biscuits for internal meetings.

Mind you, this had swiftly followed a number of lawyers literally vanishing overnight in a round of secret redundancies, and various other morale sapping cost-saving incidents, so that it wasn't just biscuitgate... But really trivial things can piss people off if there are wider issues at play also.
