There is no question that the police were used as a political weapon

then and in other incidents. I didn't personally witness Orgreave but the decision not to investigate it is an utter disgrace. I did personally witness the Poll Tax demo which became a riot (I was protesting) and have found it hard to trust the police or mainstream media ever since, though Channel 4 did do a decent documentary on it a few years back.
