In 01/02 City lost 0-4 on three separate occasions.
That side (and manager) got into the play-offs and, 2 seasons later, ran away with the division.

In 92/3 we got smacked 1-7 by Blackburn (and while some may joke about now, if social media had existed then you can be sure many fans would have lost their sh*t that day)

Colchester 1-7; half that side went on to win back-to-back promotions.

And lastly, Newcastle today: they had a 2-goal lead at 89 mins, conceded in the 90th and were only saved by a later chance hitting the post. There was no surrender, no unfathomable substitutions or escape-goats, all Preston did was throw the kitchen sink at it.
