An optimistic observation
Although understandable to compare last night to Liverpool at home from last season, why not look at in a similar way to Leeds away in the L1 season. Last gasp defeat in the autumn that left us all deflated at the time. Other promotion seasons have seen us lose the big away match early on, only to mount a resurgence. I'm old enough to remember us get hammered by Pompey away about the same stage of the season in 85, only to beat them at CR in the return fixture.
World will seem a lot better if we can win on Saturday. On that subject, why is it that clubs so close geographically can have such different sets of fans. Compare and contrast wolves and west brom, Newcastle and Sunderland. Both of the first set of fans have big thuggish element whilst latter two couldn't be friendlier.
