WFLGH was happy challenging with big central defenders for early balls into the box. Not sure we have a striker like him (or, say, Iwan) in this squad - so the tactics that worked well with him might not do so now.
I've always said, though, that in this league you are much better off with a big tough target man type up top (I thought that was why we bought Laffs two years ago, but then we kept playing him on the wing).
Playing neat short passing against teams with big defensive lumps sitting deep requires a lot of patience and precision.
