in fairness it is massive

so you're always likely to get a few dickheads. and it is extremely crowded and people are drinking. as far for carnivals being peaceful, I dunno, there's a history of them being places where societal norms are inverted or ignored, so i'm not really surprised it kicks off here and there. not that i'm defending it.
