On this, can anyone recommend a good wifi range extender?
I have the standard SkyQ router and I have a couple of weak areas for signal in the house.
My friend gave me two Apple Airport Express units which you plug into the standard wall socket, but having explored this further to make it work it seems you need to essentially override your current network and make a new one with these - so one is connected to the router and provide the new signal with the other units now bouncing off this.
I'm sure this is fine if you already have an Apple based network, but with SkyQ it uses the additional hub units as hotspots so I assume if I change to a new network, I then need even more of the express units. Costly.
I think i'd prefer to keep my standard setup for now and if possible just extend so that I get better signal in the weak area(s)

- Indeed. Over priced and unlike most apple stuff no advantage anyway (n/m) (General Chat) - Steve in Holland, Aug 29, 21:11:51
