What sort of gets me is how has it become so expensive as in wages and transfers?...

if clubs, well, clubbed together and simply said no, bugger it, we're not accepting it anymore, fine some would go abroad but then overall it would make the leagues more viable here. Just seems now very very average chumps league players are being paid ridiculous amounts. If the fans all decided not to turn up, things would change pretty quick I would think but that won't happen.
