I think...

they have just about written this season off, and have every intention of keeping nearly all money in the bank and rebuild for next season. Fresh faces from top to bottom hopefully.

But why they have to be seen to spunk some cash is beyond me. To placate those that are desperate to see us be ambitious (with dear prudence in mind). Too f'in late now, they should have done that pre-season.
