My no McCormack argument is simply this:

Boro went up last year with 63 goals and a kick ass defence. If you have 12 million to spend I see two choices.
1) Buy McCormack and live with the current defence.
2) Spend 12 million on a young RB and CB.

I choose door number two. If you buy McCormack and get promoted I don't see him making much of an impact in the Premier. And you still have the problem of RB and CB not being top level. Spend the money on two talented defenders now who have top level potential and use the new money on promotion to buy a quality striker far superior to McCormack. Quality teams are built from the back. Start now.
