Assume the number is 12 million. That's a lot of coin for someone who probably would not have much impact in the Premier league should promotion occur. Preferred alternative for me would be 10 million invested in a young RB and CB that have the potential to succeed in the Premier and the other 2 million going after someone like
Akpom on loan should Wenger let him out. Burnley and Middlesborough were promoted on the basis of the two best defences in the Championship. Think that's a better route than spunking a ton of money on a 30 year old with not a lot of upside.
