Allardyce the only choice for me
1. Proven long term interest and understanding in modern and innovative methods, be it coaching, dietry or statistical analysis
2. Repeatedly proven to put together successful (ie European qualification with Bolton, keeping Sunderland up was success, West Ham promotion and safety was success) teams with varying budgets and existing playing staffs
3. Able to build a team from the pool of players given, and enhance/strengthen where possible.
I'd like to think he'd identify a spine of the team, play to its strengths, and be able to integrate emerging talents along the way.
Also, and this is very important, he looks like he could throw a kettle over a pub.
