but then got it bumped up again in the "contract renegotiation" fiasco that teh club trumpeted as a great deal (although it just seemed to give Ashton higher wages and a big share of the fee when we sold him) We'd have been better off without the renogotiation, and in fact probably if we'd sold him in the summer.
