Apparently it was Litelport and as the name suggests lies on the Great Ouse

So I guess as we arre not far from Lynn it was a trading point on the way to Ely which was deep in the fens in the middle ages. Not famous for much apart from the Littelport riots in the 1800 hundreds and a Burberry shirt factory in the 70's and 80's - used to wear Burberry gear for roofing !
