Doesn't work. Nothing but slugs pellets works, and even that is
not that effectual. We have thousands of the bastards and they eat everything. Jools went out to the greenhouse one night and could hear the bastards chomping.
One thing that is quite effective is to put things like planks, large leaves (rhubarb works well) down at night. Because it will be damp underneath, the slugs congregate and you can pick them off and dispose of them in the morning (we sling them over the fence into net doors horse pen.
One thing I should add is, if youuse slug pellets use the Nematoid ones that wont poison the slugs predators
