Went to Frankfurt in 06. Stayed about five miles outside of the City

With a few mates in a large village - it was great with locals very friendly, good beer and food.

Travelled into Frankfurt on day of match to go to the fanzone and it was just vile. Frankly, felt embarrassed and cringed at the constant '10 German Bombers' and 'No surrender' songs as well as the general abuse directed to any poor unsuspecting 'kraut' within the vicinity.
