I have permanent right of residence in Chile, but their instructions never mentioned I should have to prove that.
And a few years ago I took a previous girlfriend back with me with absolutely zero problem so I'm a bit disappointed to say the least.
I'm desperately calling in favours from various friends who work at UK embassies, but since it's now run by a company they have nothing to do with the process anymore
