It's been very different from the books for a while, but the major plot beats will be the same - though sometimes with different people if that makes sense. For example I think we can assume that Shireen and Stannis die eventually in the books but it will be at different places/for different purposes. Sansa is nowhere near Winterfell in the books and Ramsay has married a fake Arya. There's a whole bunch of other stuff.

The ending will be broadly the same but the paths to it will be very different. It's been quite fascinating, really, watching the different media telling the same story, having it started by the books but now overtaken by the TV show. The TV show is much more clearly a classical structure: beginning-middle-end, Hero's Journey, all of that; the books are much more organic, but still subversive of genre and trope and I really enjoy that.
