Wothy makes a few good points last night in EEN about transfers ...

There is one, real nightmare that Worthington is desperate to avoid - a late, late exit that leaves Norwich with precious little time to reinvest the money elsewhere. It's what caught Everton cold last summer with Wayne Rooney's 11th hour switch to Manchester United. Little more than a day later and the Premiership transfer window slammed shut. Moyes had millions in the bank, but no way of spending it.

"That is one of a manager's worst nightmares," said Worthington, not keen to see anyone leave but realistic enough to know that it happens.

"There's no guarantees - sometimes players do just want to be in the Premiership," said Worthington.

"You just hope that if someone does decide that they want to leave it happens sooner rather than later and that then gives myself and the football club the chance to get in the players that we want rather than people going, say, two days before the Premiership transfer window closes - that's when it is a real panic."
