Surely Hughton could've seen he wasn't going to suit his style? And therefore could've vetoed it. Or is he that oblivious to his playing style.

Was is McNally getting caught up in the excitement of signing a Dutch international forward linked with big clubs for under the perceived market value.

As although Chester presumably found him I can't see that he would've pushed him everyone.

I think everyone just got a bit over excited and didn't think it through.
