Learning from mistakes, actions speak louder than words
Have to say amongst all the credit the manager is getting for admitting to his mistakes and the need to learn from them, something that the club repeats in their own statement, I do wonder about the genuine will or ability to accept whatever they consider these errors to be and address them.
Team selections and tactics might be easier for the manager to fix in the Championship and we all know that recruitment and scouting need sorting. Likewise the facilities at Colney. But what about a proper performance analysis function, the coaching experience available to the manager, football experience on the board, a Director of Football appointment and an end to fitting people in that carry favour all need to be adressed in my opinion.
Are the Board and the Manager (who wanted his own way when he arrived) really prepared to accept changes in these areas?
I'm not so sure but I really hope so.
