I totally agree with you...

Sven is quite happy to give outfield players experience in friendlies, but it seems that the Goalkeepers is a different thing. For me it has nothing to do with Green playing or not or whether James is rubbish or not (for the record I don't think he is a world class keeper but is adequate when we have a full strength defence), it is all about giving experience to the younger players coming through.

James is getting on and will have to be replaced soon. To take him to the next world cup will be a mistake imho as Sven has had plenty of time, after the Euros to give experience to other keepers but now I think it is too late.

Reading an article about Keepers the other day suggested that there is a hierachy and that you have to do your time at each level (ie warming the bench) and only then will you get a game. This may be a reason why Green may not be starting but then it seems these friendlies are all about sponsor obligations rather than actually any use in a footballing sense but that is for another thread.
