Sign players with ability but f**king tons of character and hunger. From an interview 14 April 2012:

There are loads of half decent players out there, take Holt for example. Had a few chances earlier in his career and never really made it, then Norwich come along and he realises this is the one chance to f**king burn everyone else to the ground and he takes it and wreaks havoc for 3 years, despite everyone saying he was too fat, slow, unproven and s**t for the Championship, then the Premier League.
